I'll dominate 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the pair came face-to-face to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to really want to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

Despite those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead criticized former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the novice continues to be one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the usual confrontation, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually happening.
